Last day in Thailand

We spent our last morning in Bangkok before heading to the airport at one of the country's most famous tourist sites. We went to the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew (or Temple of the Emerald Buddha). After our stay in the Bamboo Hut, it was crazy to be back among lots of people and tons of Asian tourists.

The temples were beautiful. So colorful and ornate. We were able to go inside the temple, but couldn't take any pictures. We wondered if we would regret not buying a tour guide, but it turns out there was a free English speaking tour guide who took a small group of us around. We also went to the Grand Palace where the King used to live and entertain important guests.

We were sad to leave. It was crazy coming home because we left Thailand at night, arrived in Taiwan at night, then flew for 12 more hours, slept and had breakfast on the plane and got off the plane and it was night in L.A. We got to our hotel at midnight Cali time, but lunchtime in Thailand. So we dropped off our stuff and went out to eat! We randomly got upgraded to first class on our flight to Taiwan and it was so nice! Oh how the other half lives...
Well that concludes my short (but drawn out) summary of the most amazing trip of my life! I am so lucky to be married to my best friend and adventure-seeking husband who took me along :)
